There is so much going on that everyone has different ideas about what makes a good day out at the parks. We try to help by giving some tips on making the most of your days, we also suggest good days to go, bad days to go, great rides, not so great rides, and even how you might go about getting on the big rides quickly.

Please do bear in mind however that our recommendations concerning the are not always going to be right for you, which is why we give links to the main Orlando theme parks so that you can have a good look and make your own mind up.

So what are you waiting for?

There are of course two major Orlando theme park franchises in the area, those being Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Orlando.
Both Disneyworld and Universal Studios have more than one theme park with different themes attached to each and all of them have a lot to offer.

However we shouldn't forget that these are not the only theme park attractions in the area - there is also Sea World which is a great place to visit, and although it is not a theme park you really must treat yourselves to a visit to Discovery Cove You can find out a little about the parks below and follow the links to get more details.

Walt Disney World

Ok let's be honest about it - this is what brings most vistors to Orlando and the chances are that your kids will never speak to you again if you don't take them to at least all of the Disney World parks.

There are 4 Disney theme parks (not including the water parks which we will talk about elswhere) and they are all, of course, fantastic!

Magic Kingdom is of course the one that started it all off and is great for kids of all ages - it's big and beautiful and you just have to go.

Epcot is a great mix with superb rides, interactive glimpses of the future, Educational zones and the ability to visit half the world in one afternoon.

Animal Kingdom offers you the chance to get close to nature and see and learn about some beautiful animals in natural surroundings - and enjoy great rides as well.

MGM Studios helps you to find out a little more about the movies, enjoy thrilling rides and see some spectacular shows.

Universal Studios

Not to be outdone by the Disney World parks, Universal have also got some excellent attractions and exciting rides, Studios does seem to cater more for an older audience but both are fabulous parks.

Universal Studios is the older of the two Universal parks but there is plenty going on around the streets of what feels like one big movie set.

Universal Islands Of Adventure there always seem to be a mind boggling amount going on and the park is stuffed full of rides. You can look forward to a very full day here.

SeaWorld

As well as the two big names there is the less busy but equally enjoyable SeaWorld which should definitely not be ignored

SeaWorld this can be more enjoyable due to the fact that it tends to be quieter and more relaxed, there are plenty of enjoyable shows to watch while you rest your feet and it can make a good introduction to theme parks Orlando style.

Please use the links to find out about both the Disneyworld and Universal Orlando theme parks in a lot more detail, and please have a look at our Orlando Vacation Hints and Tips page, to help you make your day at any of the Orlando theme parks easier and more enjoyable.
